The environment is getting worse by the time and it is becoming more or less the main concern of every nation. While some countries choose to put the issue back, others try and manage to overcome it.

With the COP21 being at the core of the current debates, we’ve been wondering what was the actual approaches of the countries concerning the environment, and how came that the previous COP showed itself to be insufficient?

Therefore, in the perspective of the COP21, we’ve chosen to more precisely focus on the comparison of three highly developed countries, in order to analyse their attitudes, results and projects regarding the environment. The United States, the experienced superpower with all the assets at its disposal to be an environmentally-friendly country; China, the fast growing country with promising prospects but one of the most polluted countries with the USA, and Sweden, a highly developed, industrialized and the most sustainable country.

How can a country with the same capacities and level of economy be more sustainable than others?
